Yaamba Formation Renewals

The Project

Schwarz Excavations was engaged by Queensland Rail to deliver pre-closure and closure construction works for the Yaamba Reconditioning Project on the North Coast Line in Central Queensland. The project involved the reconstruction of rail formation between 677.530 km and 681.600 km, supporting improved track performance, drainage and long-term asset resilience. The works required detailed coordination across multiple work fronts, effective management of site access and weather conditions, and close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure on-time handback of the track.
