Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline Water Treatment Plant

The Project

The overall project comprises of 117 km of pipeline located in Central Queensland, running through the Gladstone and Rockhampton Regions. The Project is proposed to connect the Lower Fitzroy River, upstream of the Fitzroy Barrage, to Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB)’s network at Yarwun. It is intended to allow the extraction of water from an intake on the Fitzroy River to a new treatment plant near Rockhampton and then transfer via pipeline to Gladstone and on to existing and new industrial customers. This scope was awarded after the successful completion of the intersection leading into the water treatment plant, and included construction of a carpark, laydown area and pad for the construction of the Water Treatment Plant.
